A few weeks ago, we picked up a huge record collection from a well known dance music record store. The record store was Record Reaction from Long Beach, they were open from 1984 to 2000. This collection is over 5,000 pieces of vinyl and 2,000 pieces of CD's. Most of this collection is the personal collection of Steve (Mr. Steve) and the rest of it is from his record pool service and some from the shop as well. Steve Tsepelis was also the partner in 2 famous dance music radio stations back in the 1990s, MARS FM and Groove Radio. The music categories include: House Music, Remixes, Techno, Progressive House, Commercial Dance, Pop, Trance, Disco, Euro House, Breaks, Acid House, Oldschool Techno, Drum N Bass, Downtempo, Soul, R&B, New Wave, Italo-Disco, Industrial, Hip House, Hip Hop and more. Most of these records are brand new and unplayed, loads of DJ promos, white labels, test pressing, etc.
Roughly 10 boxes of the 50 boxes we got are currently out on the selling floor ready for digging through. We've also priced and filled some of the bins with these records. The rare dance vinyl bin has filled up dramatically with so many 1990s era classics. We've also been posting a lot of the highlight pieces on Instagram and Facebook, so do check there frequently to see the really good stuff. Every couple of days we will be putting out more from this collection out on the selling floor in cardboard boxes for digging. The prices for the records in the boxes start at $5 and go up from there.
Regarding the CD's> All the CD's are different genres of dance music, compilations, albums and DJ mixes. We will try to get to those after this weekend and start making them available for sale.
